Welcome To

Churton Park Community Walkers

Take a look around our site to see what we offer. We are a very friendly group who believe that walking with a group helps keep you motivated and also provides an opportunity to make new friends while keeping physically active and mentally alert.

Each week we walk in various locations both on bush tracks and in urban areas. Within the greater Wellington region we are privileged to have access to magnificent scenery, both bush and urban, and varied terrain.  For more information about the group and recent walks please check out our back catalogue of newsletters from the menu at the top of this page.

Where we will be walking this week:

Wednesday -   On Wednesday April 30th we will be walking locally on streets and paths around Churton Park.  Please click here to see the latest newsletter for details of the walks.

Thursday evening/Friday morning -  Please email for further details.  Please note that our Friday walks cover a significant distance with some good climbs - all at a decent pace.  Please see this link  Walking with the Fast Footers on a Wednesday morning is a pre-requisite to joining the Friday group.

This stunning photo comes from our convenor, David Pegram, and was taken on his recent tramp on the Matemateāonga Track in Whanganui National Park:
