Last Weeks Walks
Once again wet spring weather meant that the Wednesday walks were cancelled, however on Thursday five people and a dog had a local walk around Churton Park on a mild evening. The Friday walk was threatened not by weather but by protesters at Ngauranga but even so 11 walkers made it to the start of the walk and enjoyed great weather climbing up to Belmont Trig.
Thank you to everyone involved in planning and leading these walks.
Regards
David
Reminder
Please ensure that you inform your group’s leader if you leave a walk partway through.
This Weeks Walks (Wednesday 13 September)
We note that the weather won and the walks were cancelled last week. However we will try for the same walks again. Thus we will be sticking quite close to home with all walks starting from the Outlet Centre in Tawa (DressSmart) and heading around the streets and walkways of Tawa. The PP’s and SS’s walks are variations of previous walks with the FF’s repeating an old walk.
PP’s: A 4.07km loop around the streets and walkways of Tawa. You can see the walk here.
SS’s: A 5.51km loop walk that is also on footpaths and uses a few pedestrian walkways as short cuts. The walk includes a couple of suburban street climbs but nothing really too strenuous. You can see the walk here.
FF’s: A 6.99km loop walk on roads, footpaths, steps and pedestrian walkways. You can see the walk here.
Enjoy your walks

Parking
Parking for all three groups is in the Outlet Centre Carpark as near to the Takapu Railway Station as you can get.
Coffee
Gloria Jeans Café is the location for our after walk coffee. (At the eastern end of the Outlet Centre). They have been warned that a number of us will be coming for Coffee and perhaps a snack.

When you open the website to view your walk have a quick look at the “Home Page”. This usually has a new picture each week generally showing a view from one of our walks.
Cancellation
If the walks are cancelled an email will be sent out as early as possible but definitely before 8:00am.
