Happy New Year to all Walkers

Yes there will be a walk this coming Wednesday 12^th January 2022. 

Our schedule shows the first walk to be on the 19th January 2022 but there has been a bit of pressure to start a week earlier as the Friday Walkers are already up and running and the Thursday Night walkers do not appear to have stopped apart from one week close to Christmas.

Friday Night Drinkies

The first Friday Night Drinkies will be the first Friday in February and a reminder noted in the week before’s email. 

General

Trust all walkers have clocked up a few walking kilometres over the break and are rearing to get back into our regular Wednesday walk routine for another year.

Wednesday 12^th January 2022

General

All walks start at the Alex Moore Park carpark and are all walks that we have carried out in the past.

PP’s: A 4.83km loop walk partly on playing fields, tracks and footpaths.  You can view the walk here.

SS’s: A 6.31km loop walk similarly on similarly on playing fields, tracks, and footpaths.  You can view the walk here.

FF’s: A 7.64 km loop walk also on playing fields, tracks and footpaths.  You can view the walk here.

Parking

Parking is in the Alex Moore Park carpark. The entrance is off Bannister Street which is off Broderick Road.

Coffee

We will inform Simmer that we will be coming; hopefully they can set aside at least the outdoor seating for us.

Cancellation

The normal cancellation before 8:00am will be sent by email if required.

Koha

Remember that if you rely on others for your transport most weeks then a small $2 payment for a nearby walk and a $4 payment for a longer walk would help to lessen the costs a little for those providing the transport.
