Last Weeks Walks

It must be that time of year once again, as the inclement weather disrupted plans for our walks last week.  The Wednesday walkers put on their thinking caps and three smaller groups took off in different directions around Churton Park with coffee afterwards at Simmer.  In total 49 walkers went 'out and about' - 18 fast footers, 16 steady steppers and 15 pleasure pacers.  These numbers included 8 who missed the cancellation email and journeyed to Plimmerton where they undertook their own walk.  Perhaps it is better in future if we send out any cancellation notice at 7.30am which would give everyone a little more notice.  Please do check your emails before venturing out for the walks as the possibility of cancellations or late changes is more likely in the winter months.

Last week we welcomed some new walkers to our group - Prue Simm and Lynette Simpson as well as Sarah Partridge who joined us two weeks ago.

Friday Night Drinkies

This coming Friday is the 1st of April.  Don't be fooled - we are having drinks at the Sprig and Fern, Tawa from 5pm.

Photos

Here are some photos from last week and before.  Walkers please try and take a photo of each group on walking days and email them to peter@jville.kiwi preferably small size (around 450kb).

Remember that if you rely on others for your transport most weeks then a small $2 payment for a nearby walk and a $4 payment for a longer walk would help to lessen the costs a little for those providing the transport.

Laugh

Senior's shirt.
