Last Weeks Walks

It was pleasing to see that all our groups were able to go out on their walks last week as the weather was kind to us.  Let’s hope for the same for this coming week.  Last Wednesday 10 pleasure pacers, 27 steady steppers and 17 fast footers walked around Titahi Bay.  Then on Thursday there were 5 walkers who enjoyed a walk around the streets of Johnsonville.  Twelve of the Friday group ventured out to complete the Zealandia loop.

This Weeks Walks (Wednesday 7 June)

This week we head to Petone for three new walks.  It should give us all a good look at various parts of Petone.  The walks are all on footpaths or paths within parks etc.     

PP’s: A 4.03km loop within the streets and parks of Petone.  The walk is basically flat.    You can see the walk here.

SS’s: A 5.84km loop walk within the streets and parks of Petone.  The walk is basically flat.  You can see the walk here.

FF’s: A 7.73km loop walk within the streets and parks of Petone.  The walk is basically flat.  You can see the walk here.

Parking

Parkling for all three groups is in Udy Street.  There is some angle parking outside the Petone Club at 47 Udy Street and when that is full then we can use parallel parking on the street in the same general area.  There should be sufficient parking available for all of us (we believe).

Coffee

This is Columbus Coffee in Mitre 10 Mega, Petone.  We will have warned them that a group of us will be arriving after our walks.

Website

When you open the website to view your walk have a quick look at the “Home Page”.  This usually has a new picture each week generally showing a view from one of our walks.

Cancellation

If the walks are cancelled an email will be sent out as early as possible but definitely before 8:00am.
