General
The schedule suggested that this week’s walk were to be in Eastbourne. However we understand that some of the Eastbourne tracks are closed for maintenance. So the easy solution is to repeat the walks that were proposed for last week. Thus the walks this Wednesday are the three new walks that were created by Gay during Level 3. These take in streets in the Linden area of Tawa. (The walk schedule will be updated.)
PP’s: A 3.74km loop walk almost totally on streets but with a voluntary small optional offshoot loop within a bush area. The route goes under SH1 in two different areas. All the hills are relatively gentle. You can view the walk here.
SS’s: A 5.47km loop starting off in the Reserve and returning via the streets. You can view the walk here.
FF’s: A 7.80km walk using some tracks in the Reserve and also the streets. You can view the walk here.
Parking
PP's: In Hinau Street alongside Kowhai Park which is north of Tawa College and on the other side. Turn right off Tawa Main Road at McLellan Street and then left into Hinau Street.
SS's: Outside or near to the entrance of Wilf Mexted Reserve. This is where Collins Ave runs into Woodman Drive. Turn off Tawa Main Road at Linden Avenue which changes to Collins Avenue.
FF's: In Hinau Street alongside Kowhai Park which is north of Tawa College and on the other side. Turn right off Tawa Main Road at McLellan Street and then left into Hinau Street.
Coffee
We have told BB’s cafĂ© in Dress Smart Outlet Centre that quite a few of us will be coming. There is of course Simmer who we will also advise that some of us are coming. Hopefully that will allow for most of us.
Cancellation
The normal cancellation before 8:00am will be sent by email if required.
We are still walking under Level 2 so remember to scan in and try for a little bit of social distancing.
Happy walking

Remember that if you rely on others for your transport most weeks then a small $2 payment for a nearby walk and a $4 payment for a longer walk would help to lessen the costs a little for those providing the transport.
